This is an onsite role in Minneapolis
Position Summary
Analyze image content, determine any needed enhancement and perform color correction, cosmetic retouching and image compositing as needed for intended final use. Color correct files to match product within the print color space. Alter image content using Photoshop to achieve final creative intent and ensure color accuracy.
Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results
  • Retouch and mask images based on direction and artistic integrity
  • Create composite images using best practices and techniques to match layout
  • Responsibility for final color of image content
  • Evaluate images for proper contrast, neutrality and tones
  • Inspect for image artifacts (banding, patterns, and potential moirés)
  • Verify color of products using samples and reference files.
  • Consider print requirements
  • Participate in quality checking other's work as part of ongoing quality program
  • Utilization of time tracking software to assure on-time completion of tasks
  • Organization and file management
  • Communication to department leaders on status of assignments
  • Take ownership and responsibility for image content at the project level, working with creative teams and relaying critical information
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the business

Competency Requirements
  • Professional experience using Photoshop and general knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience of applying print standards to image content preferred
  • Experience working in and maintaining a color managed environment preferred

  • Understanding of file types used in print and in digital applications
  • Practical experience applying principles of color theory
  • Experience in masking techniques

  • Creative experience in packaging environment preferred
  • Proficient with current Mac OS
  • Use of Adobe InDesign or equivalent design application preferred
  • Proficient in Offset, Flexo, Gravure, Dry Offset printing preferred

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
This position requires the following knowledge and skills:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Some College/Associate's Degree preferred
  • 2-5 years + experience preferred
  • Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos.
  • Proofreading skills required.
  • Ability to work independently

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.55 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
