Job Summary

As a Roll Back Driver at Colonial Transportation Solutions, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of fuel tanks and other assets to various locations. Your role will involve operating a roll back tow truck to load, transport, and unload these assets while adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and security of our assets during transit.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a roll back tow truck to transport fuel tanks and other Colonial Transportation Solutions assets to designated locations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the roll back tow truck and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.
  • Load and secure fuel tanks and other assets onto the truck bed using appropriate tools and techniques to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
  • Drive defensively and adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while transporting assets.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with dispatch and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any changes in schedule.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from clients during the transportation process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleanliness checks on the roll back tow truck and equipment to ensure optimal performance and presentation.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation, including trip logs, inspection reports, and delivery confirmations.
  • Operation of forklifts for loading and unloading of CTS assets.

Education & Experience

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating a roll back tow truck.
  • Proven experience in operating roll back tow trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
