Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician skilled in vehicle disassembly, reassembly, body filler application, and surface preparation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a busy collision repair shop.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and reassemble bumpers, doors, lights, trim, interior components, and body panels
  • Properly label and organize all removed parts and hardware
  • Apply body filler and perform sanding, blocking, and surface preparation
  • Check repaired areas for proper shape, gaps, alignment, and finish
  • Identify damaged or missing parts and report them to the estimator or shop manager
  • Protect vehicle interiors and surrounding panels during repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Work with body technicians, painters, and estimators to keep repairs on schedule
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Previous collision repair or auto body experience preferred
  • Experience with vehicle disassembly, reassembly, body filler, and sanding
  • Familiarity with modern vehicle parts, fasteners, sensors, and trim
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and sanding equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Able to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
