About the job you're considering
As the organization continues to expand its data ecosystem across cloud and on-premise platforms, there is a growing need to establish strong data governance, transparency, and trust in enterprise data assets.
We are looking for a Data Catalog & Lineage Specialist to lead the implementation and adoption of enterprise-wide data cataloging, metadata management, and lineage capabilities. This role is critical to ensuring data is discoverable, reliable, compliant, and traceable, supporting both business and regulatory requirements.
Summary of the Role
The Data Catalog & Lineage Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing metadata management and data lineage solutions. The role requires hands-on expertise in Collibra, along with strong knowledge of AWS-based data architectures, Snowflake, and relational databases.
This position will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, governance, and business stakeholders, to embed data governance practices and enable end-to-end visibility into data flows.
Your Role
• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data catalog and lineage solutions using Collibra
• Develop and maintain metadata management frameworks and standards across the organization
• Enable end-to-end data lineage across cloud and on-premise systems
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure data is discoverable, trusted, and compliant
• Drive adoption of data governance frameworks and best practices
• Identify and classify PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and ensure compliance with data protection policies
• Integrate metadata and lineage capabilities into AWS-based data platforms and Snowflake environments
• Support data quality, data stewardship, and regulatory reporting initiatives
• Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on data governance and lineage strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience with Collibra (Data Catalog & Lineage modules)
• Solid understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
• Experience with AWS data architecture (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, etc.)
• Expertise in Snowflake and relational databases
• Proven experience in implementing data lineage and metadata management solutions
• Ability to identify and manage PII and sensitive data elements
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration
• Experience working in cross-functional and enterprise environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in large-scale data governance transformations
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data privacy and compliance
• Certifications in Collibra, AWS, or Data Governance (preferred but not mandatory)
