We are currently seeking a Collibra Engineer - On-site to join our team on-site in either Plano, TX; Nashville, TN.

Overview

NTT DATA is seeking a Collibra expert to support enterprise data governance initiatives for a large-scale client environment. This role is focused on hands-on implementation and configuration of Collibra, working closely with data governance stakeholders, stewards, and platform teams to operationalize cataloging, stewardship, lineage, and policy workflows.

The ideal candidate brings strong tool-level expertise in Collibra, experience working in enterprise data governance programs, and the ability to translate governance requirements into effective Collibra configurations.

Key Responsibilities

Collibra Implementation & Configuration

  • Configure and support Collibra Data Catalog capabilities including data assets, domains, communities, and operating models.
  • Implement and manage business glossaries, stewardship assignments, and certification workflows to establish trust in enterprise data assets.
  • Configure Collibra workflows (out-of-the-box and customized) to support governance, stewardship, and approval processes.
  • Support metadata curation and enrichment, including linking technical metadata, business terms, policies, and processes.

Lineage, Classification & Governance Enablement

  • Support technical and business lineage use cases by enabling visibility across source-to-report data flows.
  • Assist with data classification and tagging (including sensitive data where applicable) in alignment with governance policies.
  • Support policy linkage and governance controls within Collibra to enable compliance and auditability.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work with data stewards, governance leads, and business stakeholders to capture governance requirements and translate them into Collibra configurations, and develop custom workflows if required.
  • Support onboarding and adoption by guiding users on how to discover, understand, and trust data using Collibra.
  • Communicate governance concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Platform Integration & Support

  • Support integration of Collibra with upstream and downstream systems (data platforms, BI tools, metadata scanners, APIs).
  • Assist with ongoing platform usage, operational support, and continuous improvement of Collibra configurations.
  • Partner with platform and architecture teams as needed (deployment and infrastructure are not primary responsibilities).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience with Collibra as a data governance and data catalog platform.
  • Practical experience working with:
    • Business glossaries and stewardship models
    • Data cataloging and asset certification
    • Governance workflows
    • Metadata and lineage concepts
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale data governance programs.
  • Familiarity with adjacent governance or catalog tools (e.g., Alation) is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise data catalog capabilities, including:
    • Asset discovery and certification
    • Business and technical lineage
    • Policy and governance enablement
    • Role-based access and stewardship models
  • Working knowledge of SQL and general data platform concepts.
  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Ability to learn and adapt within a complex enterprise environment.
  • US Citizenship or Green Card required

Role Level Clarification

This role is intended for a mid-level Collibra expert:

  • Strong hands-on tool expertise
  • Focused on implementation, configuration, and operational enablement of Collibra
