This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Collibra-based governance capabilities — including data catalog, business glossary, and lineage — and integrating them with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks Unity Catalog. The ideal candidate combines deep Collibra platform expertise with hands-on technical skills to close gaps where native capabilities fall short, and can operate effectively in secure, regulated environments.

  • Design and implement metadata ingestion, synchronization, validation, and documentation workflows across enterprise data sources
  • Integrate Collibra with Databricks Unity Catalog and other enterprise data platforms using native connectors, REST APIs, and metadata import/harvesting capabilities
  • Evaluate native platform capabilities against business requirements, identify gaps, and design and build targeted custom automation (Python, Java, SQL) to extend Collibra functionality
  • Maintain and expand data lineage mappings to ensure traceability of data flows from source to consumption
  • Partner with data stewards and business stakeholders to build out and govern the business glossary, ensuring accurate definitions, ownership, and classification
  • Lead technical implementation efforts, collaborating closely with data architects, engineers, data stewards, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot metadata ingestion and harvesting jobs, monitor data quality within the catalog, and maintain implementation documentation for audit and support purposes
  • Ensure metadata classification and governance practices align with enterprise and regulatory standards
Requirements:Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience implementing enterprise metadata management and data catalog solutions, including 3+ years of hands-on Collibra implementation
  • Expertise configuring Collibra Data Catalog, Business Glossary, Lineage, Metadata Import, and native harvesting capabilities
  • Experience integrating Collibra with Databricks Unity Catalog and other enterprise data platforms using native connectors, APIs, and automation
  • Strong knowledge of metadata management, lineage, business glossaries, data classification, and enterprise metadata standards
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate native platform capabilities, identify gaps, and implement targeted custom automation where required
  • Experience configuring metadata ingestion, synchronization, validation, and documentation workflows in enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with Python, Java, SQL, and REST APIs to extend or integrate Collibra capabilities
  • Experience leading technical implementations and collaborating with architects, engineers, data stewards, and stakeholders
  • This position requires the employee to be a US Citizen and may require the ability to obtain a security clearance
