Role Overview: Softball Scout
NSR is seeking a Softball Scout with collegiate playing or coaching experience who understands the demands of the game and the realities of college recruiting. This role blends on-field evaluation, relationship-building, and consultative guidance for softball athletes and their families.
You will serve as a trusted resource in your territory—identifying talent, educating families, and helping athletes navigate their recruiting journey while representing one of the most recognized brands in college scouting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate prospective softball student-athletes at showcases, tournaments, and local events
  • Conduct interviews with athletes and families to assess athletic, academic, and recruiting readiness
  • Enroll qualified athletes into appropriate NSR recruiting programs
  • Build relationships with high school and travel ball coaches, trainers, and softball organizations
  • Collaborate with NSR’s internal recruiting and evaluation teams
  • Maintain accurate records and reports within NSR systems
  • Represent NSR professionally at events and in the community
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Collegiate softball playing experience or HS / Travel / College coaching background

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working with families in a consultative, educational role
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule
  • Sales or marketing experience is a strong plus
