Job description

About Payliance

Founded in 2007, Payliance is a trusted leader in payment processing — processing more than $63 billion annually, supporting 40,000+ merchant locations, and serving over 350 lending clients. We offer an all-in-one platform for real-time funding, payment processing, account verification, and recovery services, giving lenders the technology to operate efficiently and confidently.

What sets Payliance apart is our blend of modern technology, deep industry expertise, and a highly collaborative, people-first culture. Backed by Serent Capital, we're expanding our capabilities and delivering measurable results for clients across lending, e-commerce, collections, and gaming.

About the Role

The Collector is the frontline voice of Payliance's recovery operation — engaging borrowers via inbound and outbound calls and text messages to facilitate payment resolution. This role requires a professional, persistent approach and the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and compliance awareness.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated by goals, comfortable on the phone, and looking to build a career in financial services.

What You'll Do

·         Handle inbound collection calls from borrowers, providing account information and payment options.

·         Conduct outbound collection calls to reach borrowers with outstanding balances.

·         Send and respond to text message communications with borrowers.

·         Meet or exceed weekly call volume minimums (100+ calls per day) and payment collection goals.

·         Document all contacts and activity accurately in the system of record.

·         Respond to voicemails and written inquiries from borrowers.

·         Adhere to all applicable compliance requirements, including FDCPA guidelines.

·         Escalate complex calls or disputes to the Team Lead or management as needed.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

·         Strong verbal communication skills and a professional phone presence.

·         Ability to meet daily call volume and weekly collection goals.

·         Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

·         Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.

·         Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Prior experience in collections, customer service, or a call center environment.

·         Familiarity with collections software or loan management systems.

·         Knowledge of FDCPA or consumer debt collection regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

·         Base Salary:  Competitive salary and bonus structure

·         Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.

·         401(k) with company match.

·         Generous PTO plus paid company holidays.

·         Company-paid life and long-term disability insurance.

·         Paid parental leave.

Work Environment

On-site in Lexington, KY. This role requires in-person attendance during scheduled shifts.
