Job Description:
Job Summary
Maintains and distributes schedules to ensure efficient workflow. Manages daily computer entries and recordkeeping. Coordinates communication among staff, clients, and visitors. Ensures a professional and organized office environment.
Essential Functions
• Responsible for performing routine and complex clerical, secretarial, and administrative tasks to support departmental operations.
• Coordinates document flow, manages scheduling, and maintains both paper and electronic records
• Greets and directs patients, visitors, physicians, and vendors, and answers telephones professionally.
• Provides information to callers, assists with billing and collections, and ensures timely delivery of support services.
• Coordinates surgical scheduling and pre-authorization through collaboration with with UK St. Claire Surgical Services and UK HealthCare Centralized Authorization team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Experience Requirement
2-3 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant area
