Overview
Salary range: $85,000 - $90,000
Position Summary:
The purpose of this position is to service territory customers through a concentrated focus and compliance with NYK marketing strategies. To strive to achieve/surpass pre-determined targets and to maintain relationships with customers towards creating long-lasting relationships.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Travel and develop personal and professional relationships particularly with High/Heavy and Automotive.
  • Preplan sales itineraries and calendar significant events in the territory.
  • Work in coordination with Trade and Customer Service to ensure that the account base is serviced in a manner which will result in customer satisfaction.
  • Develop sales strategy for region to achieve budgeted revenues.
  • Conduct satisfaction surveys in coordination with customer service team on a regular basis to identify strengths and weaknesses for further improvement of service to customers.
  • Prepare sales reports and sign off on their accuracy before submitting them.
  • Develop and communicate information regarding the competitive landscape including any changes in competitor services or related issues.
  • Establish a referral network with local businesses and find ways to maximize value from those connections.
  • Engage with the accounts receivable team to ensure collections in an agreed timeline.
  • Apply company values (Integrity, Innovation and Intensity) in all relationships.
  • Compliance with performance criteria as set forth by the trade team.
  • Completion of annual goals, targets and projects outlined in annual review.
  • Maintain and enhance quality relations with customers within outlined areas of responsibility.
  • Portray a positive team approach internally.
  • Take responsibility for relations with colleagues and customers.
  • Respect the differences of others and treat others with respect.
  • Remain open and encourage new ideas while ensuring we respect the principles of our corporate identity.
