Abound Credit Union is now hiring friendly, enthusiastic, and just overall awesome personalities to provide essential operational and first-line supervisory support to collection efforts.
This is an in-office position. Candidates must be able to commute to our Fort Knox location during standard business hours.
What You'll Do:
  • Collections Regulations - Expert in regulatory, legal, and compliance impact of government and other secondary market loans, escrow, and private mortgage insurance (PMI). Maintain a detailed understanding of the regulatory requirements and expectations for credit union collections, third party collections, overdraft services, and deceased accounts.

  • Loss Mitigation - Manages loss mitigation, recoveries, overdraft accounts, imaging, and deceased accounts to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of work. Ensures best practices are exercised and followed. Submits any recommendations for enhancements to workflow to the Director.

  • Staffing Support - Supports the Director by maintaining team calendar to ensure the department is always adequately staff to handle call volume and meet monthly goal expectations.

  • Member Collections - Manages and monitors all aspects of collection for negative shares, including returned checks, overdraft protection program, approval and monitoring of work out courtesy pay loans.

  • Legal Reviews - Supports the team responsible for legal actions, foreclosures, and bankruptcies. Ensures adequate tracking and reporting of activity in these areas is maintained and routinely provided to management. Reviews and approves accounts recommended for legal action, and settlement offers. Routinely performs a cost benefit analysis to determine if settlement and legal decisions are beneficial to the member and the credit union.
  • Repossessions - Approves strategy for repossessions on auto, and other secured vehicles.
