Elder Law & Estate Planning Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Abrams Fensterman, LLP is a full-service law firm dedicated to providing clients with high-quality counsel, innovative solutions, and personalized service. Established in 2000, the firm has grown to include over 120 attorneys across multiple practice areas, offering sophisticated legal services with a collaborative, client-focused approach.
We are seeking an entry level Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our Elder Law & Estate Planning Department in Lake Success, NY. This department handles all aspects of asset protection, estate planning, estate administration, and estate litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and detail-oriented professional to support attorneys in a fast-paced and client-focused environment. The successful candidate will be eager to grow alongside the firm.
Responsibilities:
  • Review and summarize estate planning documents
  • Maintain and organize client files and records
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status and document collection
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Prepare and manage spreadsheets and supporting materials
  • Assist with e-filing through NYSCEF
  • Provide general administrative and case support to attorneys as needed

Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related role, law firm experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable communicating directly with clients and attorneys
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience
