Job description

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Associate CLO Research Analyst. About the Role Working closely with the Assistant Director of CLOs and the Head of Structured Products, the candidate will provide quantitative, analytical and qualitative support across all aspects of Symetra's $10+ billion CLO tranche investing portfolio, while also gaining exposure to additional structured asset classes. Primary responsibilities include supporting the surveillance and monitoring of the CLO portfolio, evaluating CLO managers, and assessing new issue and secondary opportunities, including through relative value analysis, transaction structures and collateral review, and legal documentation analysis.

In addition to supporting the day-to-day management of the CLO portfolio, the candidate will help maintain and enhance analytical and reporting tools essential to Symetra's Structured Products platform. The candidate will operate within a small, experienced team and gain exposure to a broad range of CLO tranche investing activities. This role offers the opportunity to develop a wide variety of analytical and investment skills while building deep industry knowledge.

This role will also provide broader exposure to Symetra's diverse Structured Products portfolio more generally, with opportunities to support other asset classes as needed. What you will do Support, maintain, and improve the quantitative and qualitative evaluation and management of Symetra's Structured Products portfolio, with a primary focus on CLOs.
