Job description

Overview

This position supports the analytical efforts of the MSR Transaction Management and Collateral teams to improve the MSR operational processes. The MSR Operations Analyst will be responsible for managing operations data from multiple clients and platforms, including supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization. Supports the collateral team in integrating data required to manage and report on custodial feeds, pool issuance reports and internal data repositories. Responsible for conducting research and analysis on collateral data and reporting to respective teams and management. Supports the transaction team in reconciling new loan data and performing edit checks to ensure data integrity in database. Will require the ability to build database tables and create SQL queries to support operational improvement. The pay range for this position is $70k-$80k.


Responsibilities

·         Develop and maintain a centralized sql-based data repository supporting collateral management and pool certification activities, ensuring data integrity, governance, and audit readiness.

·         Lead data quality, reconciliation, and consolidation efforts for loan-level datasets to ensure reporting accuracy and operational reliability.

·         Analyze databases and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement data-driven process improvements.

·         Design, automate, and optimize management reporting and dashboards to provide actionable insights for operational and strategic decision-making.

·         Perform detailed loan-level reconciliations across servicing systems, custodial records, and investor reporting platforms, resolving variances and mitigating risk.

·         Develop complex sql queries to extract, transform, and analyze data in support of reporting, modeling, forecasting, and departmental initiatives.

·         Establish standardized analytical frameworks and reporting methodologies to improve operational consistency and scalability.

·         Manage cross-functional projects and support departmental initiatives, ensuring timely execution and stakeholder alignment.

·         Provide analytical support for audits, compliance reviews, and leadership requests, along with other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors or MBA graduates, in any concentration that has exposure and experience in the relevant technical skills, or equivalent work experience desired.
  • Previous experience, 1+ years, in an analytical or reporting environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).
  • Previous experience with operations data preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Python programming knowledge recommended.
  • Highly organized in nature.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain focus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
