Job Description
Cape Fox subsidiary, Cape Fox Federal Integrators (CFFI), is seeking a highly organized and motivated Senior Software Developer - Applications to join our team in support of a federal government client. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while developing and maintaining software solutions. The Senior Software / Applications Developer will design, develop, test, and implement complex software applications supporting the Department of the Interior (DOI) Human Resources Systems Management Division (HRMSD) business functions, ensuring code quality, performance, and security within DOI's enterprise architecture. This position is contingent upon award. Incumbents are encouraged to apply!
The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position is: $105,900 - $130,380
The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits, including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as a 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.
Core Duties:
  • Develop and maintain applications using PHP 8, ColdFusion 6.2, Java, and SQL.
  • Implement and maintain APIs and integrations via MuleSoft Anypoint.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing; resolve defects within Agile sprint cycles.
  • Develop data access layers for Oracle 19c and RHEL 8 platforms.
  • Support migration to cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud).
  • Maintain secure coding practices in accordance with DOI security policies and FISMA Moderate controls.
  • Document code modules and maintain version control in GitHub.

Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of software development for federal systems
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Hands on experience with Agile DevSecOps pipelines and API-based integration
  • Public Trust (Tier 1) or higher
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
