The Cold Storage Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the movement of finished goods into and out of cold storage. This role ensures accurate handling, safe storage practices, and efficient loading of shipments while leading and training storage and forklift personnel in accordance with Lakeside Foods' safety, food safety, and operational standards.

What You'll Bring
• High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years of warehouse, cold storage, shipping, or forklift experience, or equivalent education and experience
• Proven experience operating forklifts in cold or frozen environments
• Ability to lead teams in a fast paced warehouse or food production setting
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, work instructions, and shipping documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators and supervisors
• Basic math skills, including counts, measurements, and percentages
• Ability to pass company forklift written and driving certifications
Leadership Responsibilities
• Lead approximately 1-15 employees, including forklift operators and loading personnel
• Assign daily work, provide hands on training, and monitor performance
• Address operational or employee issues in alignment with company policy

Where You'll Work
• Cold storage and frozen warehouse environment with exposure to extreme cold
• Work around forklifts, propane powered equipment, and moving machinery
• Moderate noise levels throughout the warehouse
• Required use of PPE, including bump cap, hearing protection, and hair net when applicable
• Strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards
