Maintenance Technician - Cold Storage Warehouse

Location: 575 Witte Industrial Ct. 
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a refrigerated cold storage warehouse. This position is responsible for maintaining warehouse equipment, facility systems, and material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude who is looking to build a long-term career in industrial maintenance. The successful candidate will receive training and growth opportunities involving the operation and monitoring of our ammonia refrigeration system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on warehouse equipment and facility systems.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair dock doors, dock levelers, and dock plates.
  • Perform maintenance and basic troubleshooting on electric forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Complete minor plumbing repairs and facility maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues involving motors, controls, sensors, lighting, and facility equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and document maintenance activities.
  • Assist with projects to improve equipment reliability and facility operations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Growth Opportunity

As experience and training are gained, this position will expand to include:

  • Monitoring industrial ammonia refrigeration equipment.
  • Performing light maintenance on refrigeration system components.
  • Assisting with preventive maintenance and inspections of the ammonia refrigeration system.
  • Participating in ammonia refrigeration and safety training programs.

Qualifications

Preferred

  • Maintenance, industrial, mechanical, electrical, or related experience.
  • Experience working with electric forklifts or industrial equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Refrigeration or HVAC experience is a plus, but not required.

Required

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform repairs safely.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a refrigerated warehouse environment.
