Job Title: Commercial Structural Steel or Cold Form Superintendent / Foreman

Position Type: Full-Time | Traveling (West Coast)


Position Overview

Storage Building Company is seeking an experienced Commercial Structural Steel or Cold Form Superintendent / Foreman to oversee and manage steel erection projects across the West Coast. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in structural steel, who thrives in the field and can lead crews with confidence, efficiency, and safety.


This position requires travel but will remain primarily within the West Coast region, with current project locations in Grants Pass and McMinnville, Oregon, and Northern California.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all on-site structural steel erection activities
  • Lead and manage field crews, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are met
  • Interpret and work from structural steel drawings and plans
  • Coordinate daily operations with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with project specifications and timelines
  • Conduct site safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety standards
  • Monitor material deliveries, equipment usage, and jobsite logistics
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to keep projects on schedule
  • Provide daily progress updates and reporting to leadership


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Structural Steel/ Cold Form Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role
  • Background in ironwork, coldbform, or structural steel construction strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret steel drawings and blueprints (required)
  • Strong leadership and crew management skills
  • Solid understanding of construction safety practices and regulations
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the West Coast region
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail


Preferred Experience

  • Ironworker background
  • Previous experience leading structural steel crews
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial steel projects
