Job description

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to oversee field operations for commercial construction projects throughout Texas and surrounding markets. The ideal candidate has a strong background in tenant improvement projects and understands how to manage schedules, subcontractors, quality, safety, and client expectations in active commercial environments.
Our first project will be in San Antonio but after we will have projects in the DFW area. MUST LIVE IN THE DALLAS FORT-WORTH AREA TO BE CONSIDERED. Candidates with tilt up, industrial, manufacturing, cold storage, distribution, healthcare, or other large scale commercial construction experience are strongly preferred.

What You'll Do:

Manage all onsite construction activities from project startup through closeout

Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and completion dates are achieved

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel

Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met

Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations clearly

Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize schedule impacts

Partner with Project Managers to maintain budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction

Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and company standards

Maintain project documentation including daily reports, safety records, inspections, and punch lists

Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, inspectors, and trade partners

What You'll Bring:

Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects

Strong tenant improvement experience required

Tilt up construction experience strongly preferred

Experience with industrial, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, retail, office, or other commercial construction projects preferred

Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project schedules in fast paced environments

Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, safety requirements, and quality control practices

Proficient with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

OSHA certification preferred
