Vorteq Coil Finishers is looking for quality candidates to work on our Coil Coating line
Overview
Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory. Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders safely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Prepare raw materials for production runs, verify customer order requirements to material and production schedule
  • Work as a team to complete production set ups to ensure an efficient changeover from job to job
  • Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.
  • Visually inspect raw & finished coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.)
  • Package coils according to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.)
    • This may include driving a forklift or assisting a forklift driver
  • Ensure materials are properly and safely stacked while transporting and when placed in warehouse
  • Keep a work area that is clean and safe through the removal of production scrap and packaging scrap by disposing of waste timely in proper receptacles
  • Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines

Qualifications
  • Proficient in reading and writing
  • Mathematical skills and ability to understand basic measurements
  • Comfort level with a calculator and computer for occasional data entry and/or data lookup
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and lift heavy materials
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends
  • Must have a VALID drivers license and RELIABLE transportation

  • Manufacturing plant environment with dirt, dust and temperature fluctuations based on seasonal conditions with minimal fans and heaters.
  • Large machinery with moving parts as well as forklift traffic and material storage.
