Financial Systems Administrator

BlackSky is seeking a Financial Systems Administrator to support our Herndon location. Directly reporting to the Information Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing management and continuous improvement of the BlackSky implementation of the Deltek Costpoint and OneStream systems. They will work closely with the Accounting team on many solutions, configurations, and reports. This is a hybrid position based out of our Herndon, VA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Accounting team to support projects and ongoing financial initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for Deltek systems to ensure smooth operations for employees.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports using Deltek's Cognos/BI tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and Financial Systems teams to resolve application issues, deliver enhancements, and support user training.
  • Manage system access, roles, security settings within Deltek Costpoint in alignment with compliance and internal controls.
  • Coordinate and perform testing for system upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations to minimize business disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation including process flows, system configuration guides, and training materials.
  • Partner with the Compliance department to align system use with company policies and support audit activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or IT-related field.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in Deltek Costpoint and COGNOS/BI ERP system as Functional Systems Analyst or like role with expert level understanding of all Deltek modules including project accounting.
  • At least three years of experience working directly with Accounting teams.
  • Must have extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint application and COGNOS/BI. Serves as Subject Matter Expert for Deltek and associated systems and interfaces.
  • Ability to create, edit, and schedule COGNOS/BI reports from the Costpoint database.
  • Strong Financial background and general knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficient at strategic planning and execution, analyzing problems, identifying solutions, integrating efforts, and generating desired results.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thrives in an integrated team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deltek University PIM Core certification.
  • Experience with supporting OneStream.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing executives and key stakeholders.
  • Experience in directing and program managing internal and external technical implementation teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to launch and deliver initiatives on time and within budget in a high-pressure, time sensitive environment.
  • Technology industry experience, ideally including software and long-term contracting.
