Job Description:

         Expert knowledge of Cognos software administration, planning and reporting

         Responsible for installing, upgrading, maintaining and administering Cognos suite of products

         Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems

         Support a distributed Cognos reporting environment infrastructure, configuration and management on a Linux/Unix environment

         Ensure maintenance and security control of all the Cognos products and solutions

         Handle several projects at a time and complete them successfully through 'Cognos Administration' tool

         Monitor the Cognos environment and check the usage of the environment, reports, etc.

         Manage users using appropriate Active Directory Groups and assigning security as needed

         Provide 24 x 7 on-call rotational support including troubleshooting and issue resolution

         Should have experience in managing Disaster Recovery (DR)

         Knowledge of Cognos Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio, Active Reports and Metric Studio

         Knowledge of additional BI and visualization reporting tools is a plus such as Tableau & Qlikview/Qliksense

         Knowledge of Finance industry - especially Banking sector is good

         Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to establish deep understanding of client's business issues
