Job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. This role involves applying effective problem-solving techniques to plan and perform electrical service work. The ideal candidate will repair electrical circuitry through component replacement or renewal and will diagnose and correct faulty electrical circuits to ensure safe, reliable operation of all equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Apply effective problem-solving methods to plan and perform electrical service tasks
  • Repair electrical circuitry through component replacement or renewal
  • Troubleshoot and correct faulty electrical circuits to maintain continuous electrical service for all equipment
  • Prevent system failures by ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance programs are properly established and functioning
  • Perform monthly emergency generator load exercises in accordance with DNV and DFS requirements
  • Collaborate with contractors on construction projects, inspect completed work for deficiencies, and report findings to the supervisor
  • Work within the limits and standards established by building codes, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Perform effectively under emergency conditions, maintaining safety and reliability during urgent electrical situations

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; technical training or equivalent experience accepted
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with State Electrical Codes and applicable regulations
  • 2 to 5 years of electrical experience required
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license with a strong driving record
