About the Role

SR Precision Holdings LLC is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as a CNC Machinist Apprentice. In this role, you will contribute to the manufacturing of high-precision parts and components, supporting our reputation for quality and excellence in blow mold design, manufacturing, and repair.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn CNC machine operation, programming, and precision manufacturing under the guidance of experienced mentors.

You will collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams, interpret blueprints, select appropriate tools, and optimize machining processes, ensuring all products meet specifications and industry standards.


Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and computer-generated reports to determine machining requirements.
  • Program CNC machines using G-code or CAD/CAM software (for experienced machinists) and learn programming techniques (for apprentices).
  • Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish standards.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to tooling, feeds, and speeds as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and document machine maintenance activities.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Interest in learning CNC machining and manufacturing processes and completion of a formal CNC apprenticeship or technical training program.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) is a plus.
  • Certification in machining is a plus.
