Wieland is hiring a Coater Operator. The Coater Operator role is responsible to set up and operate their machine to ensure a quality product in a safe manner.  The role is in located in Alliance, OH and will be fully on-site. 

Starting Pay: $24.49 per hour

Schedule: 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm)

Pay Schedule: Weekly


Responsibilities

Coater Operator Responsibilities:

  • Wear all required PPE.
  • Install arbors and backup roller to fit material assigned to work order.
  • Install coating cylinder per the Process Parameter Card.
  • Check all rollers for any scratches, abrasions, and/or excess coating build up.
  • Set machine parameters (speed, temp, etc.) per the Process Parameter Card.
  • Inspect and verify coating before mixing.
  • Mix coating per the Process Parameter Card.
  • Inspect material before inserting into machine to make sure it meets customer specs.
  • Inspect material and coating for defects or imperfections while processing.
  • Watch machine while running to ensure safe operation.
  • Adjust parameters within the scope of the process parameter setpoints to ensure a quality product.
  • Reinspect material after running to ensure product meets all customer/quality requirements.
  • All coated material must be suspended in racks or boxes.
  • Samples are to be given to Quality for evaluation and testing.
  • Complete all paperwork for the work order, inspections, and quality lab.
  • Weigh excess coating/metal for restock and tag for traceability and return to inventory.
  • All other assigned duties.

Coater Operator Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Minimum one-year manufacturing experience preferred
