Position Summary

The Athletic Coach is responsible for leading and mentoring student-athletes in their chosen sport, fostering physical conditioning, teamwork, and leadership skills that prepare them for success both on and off the field. Coaches are expected to model Christian values and encourage students to grow in faith while pursuing excellence in athletics.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct practices that develop athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Teach and enforce the rules of the game in alignment with Christian principles.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and faith-based team culture.
  • Mentor student-athletes in leadership and character development.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of all participants during practices and competitions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Represent St. Davidโ€™s School with professionalism and integrity at all times.

Qualifications
  • Committed follower of Jesus Christ with a desire to serve in a Christian learning environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the sport and prior playing experience at the high school level or above.
  • Previous coaching experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to model and teach Christian values through athletics.
