ABOUT THE ROLE
Your responsibilities include material sampling and testing of raw materials for use in asphalt. The objective of this position is to support the Amrize Asphalt Technologies (AAT) QC Laboratory in day-to-day tasks and learn about asphalt material.


This position is available for an 8-12-month term starting in January 2027.ย 


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Extraction and recovery of recycled asphalt materials.
  • Conduct testing on asphalt binder samples, including DSR, RTFO, PAV, BBR, and Viscosity.
  • Ensure all testing procedures meet ASTM and AASHTO standards.
  • Accurately input and review test results to support quality assurance processes.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Current student from a Civil, Chemical or Materials Engineering program or related discipline.
Additional Requirements:

  • Basic Computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organization, communication and planning skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
