We currently have an opportunity for a Electrical Engineering student to join our CO-OP program at our manufacturing plant in Louisville, KY.


As an Electrical Engineering student in our CO-OP program, you will build on classroom learning through paid work terms directly related to Electrical Engineering, while actively enrolled in college.

This position works closely with experienced engineers and production partners to contribute to engineering projects, drawings, and plant engineering solutions. The Co-Op applies developing engineering knowledge to real-world challenges while gaining exposure to manufacturing operations, engineering problem solving, and project work. The position operates under the guidance of experienced engineers and contributes within defined project assignments and established plant requirements.

Engineering Development

  • Apply classroom knowledge to Electrical Engineering projects that support manufacturing and plant needs.
  • Collaborate with full-time engineers to gain practical experience and contribute to assigned engineering work.
  • Develop engineering drawings that support project requirements and enable effective project execution.
  • Identify and help resolve engineering issues within the plant to support safe and effective operations.

Project Support

  • Contribute to engineering projects assigned by Engineering and Production to support operational needs.
  • Participate in hands-on engineering activities that provide practical exposure to manufacturing processes and plant operations.

Education/Experience

     Required

  • Currently enrolled at the university level in an Electrical Engineering program for at least three months per year.

     Preferred

  • Prior work experience is not required for this position.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to learn and apply engineering concepts, tools, equipment, and standard engineering measuring devices.
  • Ability to contribute to engineering projects and assist with resolving plant engineering issues.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineers and production personnel.
