CNC Machinist | Set-Up & Programming

Milwaukee, WI

Pay: $23 to $28 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-time | 1st shift

If you’re a CNC machinist who enjoys setting up machines, dialing in parts, and working in a clean, well-run shop, this is a solid opportunity. You’ll work with modern CNC equipment, have consistent first-shift hours, and be trusted with hands-on machining work rather than just pushing buttons.

What you’ll be doing

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines
  • Perform milling, turning, and machining operations to print
  • Make offsets, tool changes, and minor program edits as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
  • Inspect finished parts using standard measuring tools to ensure quality
  • Troubleshoot machining or setup issues to keep production running smoothly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area
  • Communicate with leads and supervisors on production or quality concerns

What we’re looking for

Required:

  • Hands-on experience with CNC lathes and/or mills
  • Comfortable with machine setup and part changeovers
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred but not required:

  • Programming experience or the ability to make minor program edits
  • Experience with both small and large CNC equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

What you get

  • $23 to $28 per hour based on experience
  • Stable, full-time first shift
  • Opportunity to work with advanced CNC machinery
  • Supportive shop environment with long-term growth potential

Apply today if you’re looking for a CNC role where your skills are valued and your workday is consistent.

The Grafton office expanded from Carol’s home to several other buildings in town before finally settling in their current location on Opportunity Drive in Grafton in 1997.
