Job description

Job Title: Roll Former Tech

Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Roll Former Technician to manage, maintain, and run our New Tech SSQ2 roll former. 

The ideal candidate will have experience running standing seam roof panels in the field using a New Tech or similar standing seam rollformer. 

Safe and responsible operation of trucks and trailers is absolutely necessary. 

Roll Former Technician will be responsible for the efficient and accurate production of standing seam roof panels for both residential and commercial roofing projects. 

Additional responsibilities will include routine maintenance, basic repairs, and consistent setup and tracking of machine performance and accuracy.  


Necessary Skills:

  • Operation of standing seam roofing rollformer (Preferably New Tech)
  • Safe and responsible operation of 1 ton truck and dual axle trailer
  • Operation of forklifts and other similar equipment
  • Operation of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to use smartphone apps, email, and calendar
  • Bilingual / Spanish Speaking


Preferred Skills

  • Operation of CNC equipment including autobrake and shear
  • Ability to solder galvanized, stainless, and/or copper materials
  • Welding


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate all company vehicles and equipment with respect and a focus on safety for oneself, co-workers, customers, and the equipment
  • Adherence to company policies, safety standards, and project deadlines
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that all projects are executed safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Organize and manage materials, tools, and equipment for efficient project execution.
  • Inspect worksite conditions to ensure compliance with safety regulations and to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure that all work meets industry standards and project requirements.
  • Manage timekeeping and project schedules as defined by the supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues related to sheet metal work.
  • Maintain daily records of activities, including project progress and materials used.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in sheet metal fabrication and rollforming.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal tools, machinery, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and organization
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor in various work environments (climbing, lifting, bending, etc.). Must be able to lift a minimum of 50-100 lbs.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Citizen of the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some technical certifications preferred).
  • Certification from a recognized trade organization (e.g., Sheet Metal Workers' International Association).
  • First aid and CPR certification.
