Job description

Join the Skyline Products Team as a Precision CNC Sheet Metal Fabricator!
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Pay: $24 - $30 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am -4:00pm or 1:30pm-9:00pm
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Precision Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team. This role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up equipment, and fabricating high-tolerance metal parts using tools such as CNC press brakes, CNC punch presses, and CNC laser cutters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and experience working with various metals including aluminum, and mild steel.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Operate fabrication machinery including CNC press brakes, CNC laser cutters, shears, Hardware insertion equipment, and CNC punch presses. Experience with TRUMPF CNC machines is a plus.
  • Perform layout, cutting, bending, forming, and assembly of sheet metal parts to exact tolerances.
  • Ensure parts meet tight dimensional and aesthetic tolerances.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality control to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues.
  • Perform basic maintenance on machines and report malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools to include pneumatic riveters, belt sanders, drills and taps.

Qualifications:
  • Technical certification or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in precision sheet metal fabrication.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work orders.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal materials, gauges, and manufacturing methods.
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Familiarity with machine file software and CNC equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with aerospace, medical, or electronics industry standards.
  • Basic computer skills for machine interface and production tracking.
  • Experience with tooling selection and set-up
