Job description


SMSI Group is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Shop Foreman to oversee daily operations within our shop in Springfield, MO. This leadership role is responsible for managing production in the sheet metal shop, coordinating fabrication work, and ensuring quality and efficiency across all sheet metal projects.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CNC equipment and HVAC duct-work fabrication, along with the ability to lead a team and maintain a safe and productive sheet metal shop environment.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the sheet metal shop
  • Oversee the operation and production of CNC Laser, CNC Plasma, and CNC Water-jet machines
  • Manage HVACR duct-work fabrication processes
  • Prepare and review HVAC duct-work estimates
  • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Maintain compliance with company and job site safety requirements
  • Provide leadership and support to shop personnel to ensure productivity and efficiency

Requirements
  • Previous experience with CNC Laser, CNC Plasma, and CNC Water-jet equipment
  • Experience with HVACR duct-work fabrication
  • Experience preparing HVAC duct-work estimates
  • OSHA 10 Certification required
  • Class E Driver's License required
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
