Job Title: 2nd or 3rd Shift CNC Mill Operatorย 

Department: Production

Supervisor: Operations Manager- Manthย 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt


Summary of Job: The Mill Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, maintaining and operating Mill machines to produce precision parts that meet quality standards. The Mill Machine Operator will also be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings and specifications, and working closely with other team members to ensure production goals are met or exceeded.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate and maintain CNC Mill machinery from blueprints.

Work with Manufacturing Engineer on program changes to the machine, when needed.

Perform quality checks on parts for accuracy according to blueprints, and to ensure the product meets quality standards.

Identify product defects and work with QC team.

Set up tools and machinery for individual projects.

Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

ย Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Mill machining experience required.

Knowledge of FANUC controls.

Knowledge of 4th axis operation, a plus.

Able to use measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc.

Able to read and interpret charts, drawings and blueprints.

Knowledge of safety procedures relating to operating Grinding machinery and handling materials.

Ability to interpret, edit, and program efficiently, when required.

Must be able to follow directions and perform work accurately and thoroughly.

Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.

Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy.

Strong communication skills to work as part of a team.

Machinist tools required.

High School Diploma, or GED.
