Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Job Description

CNA Responsibilities:

  • Provide great patient care.

  • Answer patient calls and determine how best to assist them.

  • Provide physical support for patients or residents with daily activities Toileting, Walking,?

Standing, Exercising, Eating/Diet, Medication Assistance, Vital Signs, Basic First Aid and CPR, Hygiene: Bathing, Grooming, Shaving, Dental Care, Dressing.

  • Obtain a wide range of information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities.

  • Following the client's service plan & documenting any changes in the client?s condition

  • Ensure patients receive an appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions, food.

allergies, and preferences.

  • Measure and record food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting.

  • Record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as

requested by staff.

  • Ambulation and transfer, including positioning;Turn and reposition bedridden patients

CNA Requirements:

2+ years? work experience

Basic Health and Tuberculosis Screening
