The primary purpose of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Duties

  • Resident centered care oriented including assistance with activities of daily living such as:

  • Positioning, Moving, and Restorative Care.

  • Mobility, Toileting, and Bathing.

  • Grooming: Oral, Shaving and Nail Care.

  • Dining Assistance.

  • Dressing and Undressing.

  • Infection control and prevention.

  • Nutrition and Elimination.

  • Comfort care and End of Life Care.

  • Answer call lights timely and promptly.

  • Report all changes in the resident's condition to your assigned nurse as soon as possible.

  • Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift when they occur.

  • Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.

  • Be a team player working in coordination with all disciplines in the facility.
