Job Title: General Maintenance Technician II
Location: Lafayette, IN 47905
Duration: 3 Months (Temp to Perm)
Pay Rate: $21/hr (W2)Shift: 1st Shift (6:30 AM โ€“ 3:00 PM)

Job Summary:
Seeking a General Maintenance Technician II to support facility and equipment maintenance in an industrial environment. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across building systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on:
    • Industrial systems (conveyors, HVAC, pumps, motors, R.O. systems)
    • Facility systems (lighting, plumbing, roofing, ventilation)
    • Equipment (forklifts, cranes, hoists, dock systems, batteries)
  • Maintain facility infrastructure (walls, doors, flooring, shelving, furniture)
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and hoists safely
  • Document work in CMMS
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (480V exposure), and plumbing systems
  • Follow safety protocols (LOTO, PPE, hazard analysis)
  • Support specialized technicians and recommend improvements
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of industrial/commercial maintenance experience
  • Ability to work at heights (up to 30 ft)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with 480V 3-phase systems
  • Experience with HVAC, conveyors, pumps, motors, and R.O. systems
  • Basic plumbing and facility maintenance skills
  • Experience operating forklifts and aerial lifts
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems
Additional Requirements:
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Valid driverโ€™s license (if required)
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain site security clearance
Physical Requirements:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Climb ladders, bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Extensive walking throughout facility
  • Ability to distinguish wire colors
  • Must wear PPE (steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
