Pay Scale RN: $26-$30/hr. LPN: $23-$27/hr. CMA: $16-$18/hr. Summary:

Provides nursing services to the medical unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provides medication evaluation, medication checks, calls in prescriptions, obtains samples, sometimes may provide individual, group and family therapy and subsequent paperwork.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case support activities
  • Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team
  • Participates in peer review process for therapists
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Special Attributes: Strong psychosocial, clinical assessment skills. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professions and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Education and/or Experience: RN: Graduation from a four-year state accredited school of nursing and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LPN: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and prefer one year of experience in nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CMA: Minimum of High School Degree and obtained certification from the Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). One year related experience and/or training preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
