Job description

The organization seeks a motivated and engaging individual to fill their part-time volleyball coaching position. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to develop and nurture a team of athletic and competitive youth club athletes. Teams consist of local and regional level volleyball club teams. We are looking for a coach with an enthusiasm for team building and personal commitment to promoting our brand and supporting our mission. We'd like the successful candidate to be passionate about coaching, helping others achieve their personal bests, and accomplishing the goals of the team.


Why work for SA Abyss:

We are a club volleyball organization certified through the AAU and LoneStar volleyball region. Established in 2011. We offer local, regional, and national competition teams. We have our own facility "Xtreme Athletics Academy" and are able to provide our athletes and coaches year round training through consistent private lessons, camps, and clinics along with team practices for club. All of our coaches are able to provide athletes private lessons at a high volume through our facility. We also train our coaches while offering a very independent and relaxed environment while still meeting goal expectations and developing our athletes and program.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a team of up to 20 players for games and competitions.
  • Work with individual players on improving their play performance.
  • Work with players on their individual conduct on and off the court.
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions for coaches and players.
  • Develop and execute practice schedules and training schedules.
  • Develop and execute practice plans and practice reports
  • Coordinate and communicate with your team parents and athletes.
  • Set performance goals for the team.
  • Develop methods of measuring team improvement.
  • Be available to attend games and support the team when on away trips.
  • Maintain discipline among players, coaches, and spectators.
