Club fitters are professionals who specialize in customizing golf clubs to match a golfer's unique swing, physique, and playing style. They use specialized tools and technology to analyze factors such as swing speed, ball trajectory, and grip style. Based on this data, club fitters recommend the optimal club length, shaft type, lie angle, and other specifications to help golfers improve their performance. Working with a club fitter can lead to better consistency, accuracy, and overall enjoyment of the game.

What is the 24-38 rule in golf?

The 24-38 rule in golf refers to a guideline for club fitters, including those working as club fitters, suggesting that golfers with a handicap between 24 and 38 should use clubs with specific shaft flex and length to optimize performance. To thrive as a Club Fitter, you need in-depth knowledge of golf club components, fitting techniques, and a solid understanding of golf swing mechanics, often supported by certifications like those from the Professional Clubmakers’ Society. Familiarity with launch monitors, fitting software, and club-building tools is crucial for precise analysis and customization.
