Description

Hill City Sports Center is seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and motivated Volleyball Club Assistant Coaches to support, lead and develop athletes within our club volleyball program. Coaches will be responsible for fostering skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a competitive yet positive environment for players of varying ages and skill levels.

This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to athlete development and enjoy mentoring players both on and off the court.

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead organized volleyball practices and training sessions

  • Teach and develop fundamental and advanced volleyball skills

  • Prepare athletes and teams for tournaments and league competition

  • Create a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented culture

  • Provide constructive feedback and individual player development

  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club leadership

  • Manage game-day coaching responsibilities during tournaments and matches

  • Promote sportsmanship, accountability, and athlete confidence

  • Assist with evaluations, tryouts, and club events as needed

Qualifications
  • Previous volleyball playing and/or coaching experience required

  • Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and game strategy

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor athletes

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and tournament schedules

  • Experience working with youth and adolescent athletes preferred

Preferred Experience
  • High school, collegiate, or club volleyball coaching experience

  • Playing experience at the high school, collegiate, or club level

  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus

  • Experience with athlete development and team building

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to actively participate in practices and demonstrations

  • Ability to stand and move throughout practices and tournaments

  • Ability to lift and transport volleyball equipment when needed
