JOB OVERVIEW

The Kids' Club Supervisor leads the daily operations of the resort's child-minding program, creating a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children, families, and team members. This role oversees all childcare spaces and programs, including special events such as birthday parties and resort group reservations, while fostering strong communication and relationships with parents and guardians.

The Supervisor ensures compliance with all applicable state and local regulations, maintains high standards for safety and service, supports cross-departmental collaboration, and upholds resort values through effective leadership, staff development, and operational excellence.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision for the child-minding program and all Kids' Club spaces.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee birthday parties, group reservations, and other special programming.
  • Foster proactive, responsive communication with parents and guardians to support a positive member and guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local regulations (e.g. record of annual fire and health inspections)
  • Manage team schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and efficient daily operations.
  • Train, coach, and support team members to maintain exceptional service, safety, and program standards.
  • Partner with the Director of Sports Club in the recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of Kids' Club team members.
  • Ensure accurate billing and recordkeeping for Kids' Club programs and services.
  • Collaborate with the Camp Coordinator on the development and implementation of age-appropriate programs and activities.
  • Maintain accurate child records, including emergency contacts, medical information and allergy documentation.
  • Promote the safety, well-being, and positive experience of all children while maintaining a safe environment for team members, members and guests.
  • Maintain required certifications, including CPR/ First Aid/ AED and follow all resort safety procedures.
  • Conduct monthly evacuation drills and maintain a record log.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives and special events as needed to enhance the overall member and guest experience.
  • Contribute to overall resort success by completing other duties as assigned.

Indoors and outdoors at Boar's Head Resort, primarily at The Sports Club

Requirements

ESSENTIAL:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Recreation, Hospitality Management, Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in childcare, youth programming, camp operations, or a related field.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a childcare, recreation, hospitality, or resort setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, members, guests, and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, registration, billing, and standard office software systems.
  • Knowledge of child safety practices, age-appropriate programming, and behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required or ability to obtain certification within a designated timeframe after hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and actively participate in children's activities for extended periods of time.

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience planning and coordinating children's programs, special events, camps, or family-focused activities.


SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

All employees must learn and comply with all Resort safety rules; must use appropriate safety equipment at all times; must immediately report all unsafe conditions to supervisors; must be familiar with all safety features or equipment, machinery or materials encompassed by job duties; and must check with supervisor if there is a question as to the safe procedure to be used for any job function.
