Job description

Are you customer-oriented and interested in hands-on work at the customer site?

As a Technical Service Engineer for our Fabrics groupyou play a critical role in working directly with our customers for service calls, performingfield service work, data collection, and overall support for all paper machine clothing related issues. You'll assist in performing shutdown services related to paper machine clothing on all sections of the paper machine, including assistance during clothing installations. Your expertise will also be needed to perform inspections and services between clothing installations. Additionally, you'll perform minor equipment and inventory audits that support our customer contracts / agreements. In this hands-on role you'll work closely with our Product Managers, Sales, and Technology experts to ensure cooperation is focused on the customer with meaningful results.

This position reports out of our Appleton, WI? office but you'll be working remotely in the US Midwest region. Preference would be someone located in or near Ohio.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree (BA, BS) from four-year college or university; minimum of 5 years related experience and / or training - preferably in paper industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prefer strong understanding of paper machine clothing, but willing to train with appropriate background and willingness to learn.
  • Trouble-shooting abilities are key.
  • Travel required to customer sites.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
