D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Closing Assistant in the Closing Department. The right candidate will assist the Closing Department with general clerical duties including the filing and tracking of documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Review closing documents
  • Balance escrow check to Closing Disclosure and Initial Escrow
  • Assist in completing physical file for bond loans as needed
  • Deliver bond loans to Secondary Marketing
  • Able to work overtime
  • Prepare and ship banking file to warehouse bank
  • Sign off on conditions as needed
  • Assist Post Closing with follow-up or suspense items
  • File physical files as needed
  • Purge files as needed
  • Order office supplies as needed
  • Mail initial CD's as needed
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to report to office daily; job duties cannot be done remotely
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
