Job description

Summary

This position is responsible for residential mortgage loan closing document preparation and coordination with National Title Companies or escrow agents to closing the Bank's loan with the customer. This position is also responsible for the funding, balancing, and booking of the loan and delivery to the investor.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare initial input and validation of all loan fees on Closing Disclosure for delivery to Client with goal to be delivery 7 days prior to estimated closing date
  • Work closely with Closer and title companies to ensure closings are efficient and on-time
  • Verbally verify wiring instructions prior to day of disbursement in preparation for wiring funds to title companies
  • Validate wires to the title companies for disbursement of the loans while monitoring wire dashboard to ensure bot runs accordingly.
  • Ensure title companies adhere to closing policies and procedures by reviewing documents after closing and communicating with title companies on follow up requirements needed
  • Assist and back up with appraisal requests, monitoring and delivering as needed
  • To assist other department and fellow team members with their workloads to ensure a smooth production flow for loan applications, closings and deliveries.
  • Protect all client and bank information confidentially and follow all company policies.
  • Complete monthly training in a timely manner to ensure knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Other specified duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

The work environment is typical of a standard office or retail banking setting. The position is sedentary, involving sitting most of the workday; however, the position will involve moving about the workspace to reach entrances/exits, restrooms, conference rooms, or other areas within the work environment. Reaching may be required involving the ability to move arms in any direction. Office equipment, such as a computer and telephone, will be used requiring the ability to manipulate a keyboard, mouse, and/or keypad. The ability to decipher a computer screen or written documents is necessary. The ability to express or exchange ideas; impart information to clients, coworkers, or the public; or to convey detailed or important instructions; is required. The ability to receive and understand detailed information shared through oral or written communication is required.

Compensation & Benefits

The Closing Assistant position pays a minimum of $22.00 per hour.
