Job Description: The Learning Experience Clinton Hill (TLE Clinton Hill) is seeking candidates for Lead Teachers for our play-based early childhood development center in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn serving children from six weeks to five years of age.
Full-Time Staff Benefits (35-40 hours a week) :
  • Five vacation days and five sick days by accrual after 90-day introductory period
  • Paid holidays, including extended breaks: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Leftover Day, New Years, MLK Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, August Break (5 days), Winter Break
  • 401k retirement plan

Compensation:
$24-$26.44/hour
Principal Areas of Responsibility:
  • Encourage positive student engagement using play-based activities to develop all aspects of their mental, physical, and social beings.
  • Co-teach alongside staff members to develop and execute lesson plans focusing on social and emotional learning, curriculum themes, indoor and outdoor play, the arts and hands-on experiences
  • Perform all duties related to childcare including diapering, feeding, cleaning, and nurturing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management as per program needs.
Required Credentials:
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field and/or 5 years experience as a teacher for children six weeks to 24 months
  • New York State Teacher's Certification (Birth - 2nd or elementary), if applicable
