Job description

Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Spravatoยฎ Treatment Clinician (Part-Time, On-Site/Hybrid) - Psychiatric Experience preferred
Location: Dallas/ Ft Worth, Texas
Schedule: Part-time / 1099 Contractor/ Temporary (with opportunity to extend)

Journey Clinical is hiring an NP/PA to conduct psychiatric intake evaluations andprovide in-person monitoring for Spravatoยฎ (esketamine nasal spray) sessions hosted at partner therapist offices. This is a great opportunity for a clinician who enjoys structured outpatient care, values patient experience, and wants to expand access to evidence-based treatment for depression.
Spravato sessions are delivered in small cohorts (3-4 patients) and require 2+ hours of on-site monitoring in accordance with FDA REMS requirements.
This role offers the opportunity to participate in the growing field of psychedelic and innovative mental health treatments in a flexible clinical environment.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct psychiatric intake evaluations and screening to determine Spravato eligibility
  • Prescribe Spravato and initiate documentation for insurance prior authorization
  • Provide on-site clinical support during Spravatoยฎ dosing sessions (patients self-administer nasal spray)
  • Monitor patients during the observation period (vitals, safety checks, symptom monitoring)
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time
  • Coordinate with Journey Clinical operations and partner sites to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Support a calm, safe environment for small cohorts (typically 3-4 patients per session block)
Schedule & Location
  • Part-time / per-diem (1099 contractor)
  • Sessions often scheduled evenings/weekends (varies by site)
  • Travel to partner therapist offices within an agreed-upon radius
Required Qualifications
  • Active NP or PA license in the state of practice
  • Current, unrestricted DEA registration
  • Willingness to register/associate your DEA registration to partner site address(es) as needed for Spravatoยฎ operations
  • Comfort with outpatient monitoring and responding to clinical changes (e.g., blood pressure changes, anxiety, dissociation)
  • Strong documentation skills and reliability with protocols
  • Willingness to complete required program training (Spravatoยฎ REMS-related processes)
  • Ideal candidates will have psychiatry experience; ketamine/esketamine, TMS, infusion, or other monitoring workflows
