Job description

Class Description The purpose of this class is to provide administrative management and leadership for assigned departments with other divisional administrators and in a manner consistent with established College policies and procedures. Minimum Requirements Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland; Master's degree in nursing with 4 years of full-time teaching experience in an accredited nursing program. Class Specific Essential Duties Provide the day-to-day management of the program, including supervision of full-time, adjunct faculty and staff.

Work collaboratively to achieve departmental, divisional and/or institutional initiatives. Interview, hire and evaluate assigned staff. Represent the program, school and the College with students, parents, professional organizations, and other relevant constituencies.

Participate in budget processes. Oversees classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction using a variety of teaching strategies to achieve learning objectives. Evaluates student achievement on a regular basis using valid assessment techniques.

Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned. Position Specific Essential Duties Provide administrative leadership for and management of the program.

Support the development, coordination, and evaluation of program curriculum. Develop, maintain, comply with, and conduct a periodic review of written agreements with cooperating agencies. Coordinate the scheduling of faculty, courses, and clinical facilities.

Responsible and accountable for all aspects of the program's accreditation. Participate as an active member of the SHP leadership team. Conduct formal and informal counseling of students and faculty.

Develop methods of program evaluation to ensure ongoing effectiveness through outcomes assessment and corresponding revisions as needed. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures. Establish goals and objectives for operations consistent with CCBC's mission.
