This is a temporary position. Hybrid - 2-3 days in office.
JOB SUMMARY
The Program Delivery Lead drives and coordinates Digital delivery execution for key cross-functional initiatives, ensuring Digital teams are set up for success with strong agile practices, clear delivery plans, and disciplined dependency and risk management. This role partners across Product, UX, Engineering, and Shared Services to translate delivery needs into actionable work in Jira, validate plans through agile ceremonies, and ensure progress is visible, accurate, and aligned to release commitments. The Program Delivery Lead proactively identifies and drives completion of technical milestones and cross-team dependencies, escalates and resolves blockers, and coordinates Digital inputs to change/release governance processes to enable predictable, on-time delivery.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
  • 8+ years' experience in digital product development and delivery, demonstrating a pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity.
  • 4-year degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in a digital/technical field, or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience leading with Agile development methodologies and participating in backlog refinement and sprint planning
  • Expertise in establishing and managing initiatives, epics, and underlying stories, tasks and issues in Jira
  • Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in support of business priorities

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Plan & Deliver Digital Initiatives to Unlock Value
  • Set up and maintain Jira for key delivery capabilities, ensuring epics and issues are created for each team, validated via agile ceremonies, and linked appropriately to reflect scope, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Identify, capture, validate, and drive completion of key technical delivery milestones and dependencies across technology teams, to support end-to-end release readiness.
  • Work with reporting partners to ensure data extracted from Jira is accurate and representative of Digital deliveries and release plans; continuously improve Jira hygiene and reporting definitions.
  • Identify, validate, track, and resolve dependencies and issues blocking Digital progress (e.g., back-end dependencies), protecting sprint commitments and escalating risks as needed.
  • Manage Digital's inputs to the Change Request (CR) process, coordinating required documentation and running items through the Change Control Board (CCB) on behalf of Digital.
  • Partner with key technology teams to ensure aligned sequencing of efforts is on track; raise and drive resolution of key concerns impacting delivery outcomes.
  • Ensure Scrum Masters across Digital teams are following expected standards, coordinating across teams and resolving delivery risks and dependencies as needed.
  • Partner with the Digital Program Director and Digital Product leadership to position Marriott Digital for delivery success through proactive planning, transparent status, and crisp decision-making support.
  • Establish and maintain delivery rhythms (e.g., delivery standups, dependency reviews, milestone checkpoints) to ensure timely identification and resolution of risks and impediments.
  • Maintain a consolidated view of cross-team delivery status, milestones, and dependencies; communicate progress, risks, and required decisions to stakeholders.
  • Drive consistent use of agile delivery standards across teams (e.g., Jira hygiene, sprint planning readiness, dependency mapping) in partnership with Scrum Masters and delivery leads.
  • Coordinate release readiness inputs across Digital teams, ensuring artifacts and approvals are complete and aligned with enterprise release/change governance expectations.
