Job description

Clinical Operations Team Build | Bay Area | CTA/ CRA, Clinical Trial Manager, and Clinical Program Manager

I am running a team build for a clinical-stage medical device company in the Bay Area! Early clinical results are in and positive; the trial programme is scaling, and they are building the clinical operations function out properly rather than hiring one person at a time.

Multiple hires, across levels:

  • Clinical Trial Assistant / Clinical Study Associate
  • Clinical Research Associate
  • Clinical Research Specialist / Clinical Trial Manager
  • Clinical Program Manager

What the work looks like: Operational ownership of investigational sites. Study start-up and activation, enrolment tracking, monitoring visits, TMF, query resolution, vendor and CRO coordination. Start-up through close-out, not one narrow slice of it. At the CPM end, programme-level oversight, timelines, budgets and cross-functional leadership.

Why people are taking this over a big-sponsor role

  • Equity
  • Career growth. Joining a function at build stage means the roles above you get created, not backfilled. Early hires here are positioned for the senior seats as the programme scales.
  • Leadership. An experienced clinical leadership team with prior device programmes behind them, and direct access to them from day one.
  • Breadth. You will not spend two years doing one task while someone else owns the study.
  • The technology. A genuinely novel approach in an indication affecting millions, with first-in-human data already in hand.
