Location: Honolulu, HI
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Onsite)
Practice Setting: General Dentistry
Schedule: Monday-Wednesday & Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join a busy, team-oriented general dentistry practice in Honolulu, HI. This role involves providing comprehensive dental hygiene care, supporting chairside procedures, educating patients on preventive care, and maintaining a high standard of patient comfort and clinical excellence. The ideal candidate will be team-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a modern dental setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatment procedures

  • Perform comprehensive oral assessments and document findings accurately

  • Conduct dental prophylaxis including scaling and polishing procedures

  • Perform computerized periodontal charting and assist with periodontal treatment planning

  • Apply fluoride treatments and educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care

  • Administer intraoral local anesthesia as permitted by Hawaii licensure

  • Perform subgingival irrigation using antimicrobial or desensitizing agents

  • Assist dentists chairside using four-handed dentistry techniques

  • Support patient comfort and assist during emergency situations under supervision

  • Prepare impression trays, surgery trays, and suture trays as needed

  • Mix dental materials for restorative procedures

  • Operate and adjust dental X-ray equipment safely and efficiently

  • Maintain sterilization protocols and infection control standards

  • Assist with appointment flow and daily clinical operations

Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the State of Hawaii

  • License to administer intraoral local anesthesia required

  • Current CPR certification required

  • Open to new graduates and candidates with 1-2 years of experience

  • Prior experience in general dentistry preferred

  • Must be a Hawaii resident

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
